The Living Rainforest!

My mum and dad took me to the Living Rainforest centre near Newbury during my spring half-term break. It was fun to experience the rainforest environment and look at all the exotic plants and creatures that live there. I am looking forward to going back after March when all the butterflys will be flying about.
I saw this quote and thought it rather appropriate:
"We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors; We borrow it from our children."

Sparkling New Year!

Amma and I welcomed in 2013 with a small firework display on the balcolny.

Noah's Lark!

We went to Grythyttan to visit Linda, Chris and Noah. Grythyttan is situated in Hällefors Municipality, Örebro County, Sweden. It is chiefly known in Sweden for the Grythyttan Gästgivargård (restaurant), made famous by its proprietor Carl Jan Granqvist in the late 1970s, and patronised by the pop group ABBA in the 1980s.
We had a great time skiing and sledging and just playing amongst the snow-laden pines and frozen lake.

Cousins!

Amanda, Jakob, me and Emma. Christmas 2012.

Gingerbread Tradition!

I always make a Gingerbread House when I stay at Amma and Afi's place at Christmas. I think I eat as many candy pieces as I use to decorate it!

Snow Joke!

Dad and I share a joke in the Christmas snow!

Sweetie goes to Sweden!

As usual we went to Sweden to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. We flew to Gothenburg and stayed with Amma and Afi (and Depil) in Boras, about 35 minutes drive from Landvetter airport. This year, I had to take a school project with me - Sweetie the Teddy Bear. Each of my classmates have to look after Sweetie for a week and write and photograph our time with him. My aunt Linda joined us and we also drove north to visit my cousins Amanda, Emma and Jakob and my friend Noah and his mum and dad, Chris and Linda.

Little Angel!

Last day of school in 2012 and we put on our nativity play at the church in Vernham Dean. Willow class, the name of my class, were chosen to portray the nativity scene. I was cast as a little angel. Naturally!

Turkey Time!

My school Christmas play in 2012, and first at Vernham Dean Gillum's School was entitled "Robin Hood Saves Christmas." My classmates and I were cast as Turkeys. We put on two performances and brought the house down! It was so much fun.

Victorian Day!

December 11 last year was Victorian Day at my school. We all had to dress like children dressed in the Victorian era, which was was the period of Queen Victoria's reign from 20 June 1837 until her death on 22 January 1901. Apparently, it was a long period of peace, prosperity, refined sensibilities and national self-confidence for Britain. But a quite a bit before my time!

Very Good Learning With Her Numbers 1 To 10!

Trick or Treat?

I went trick and treating with my friend Eve and her brother Daniel. We got lots of sweets and candy. I really enjoy Halloween because you get to dress up and become witches, cats, ghosts and skeletons.
