Witches and Pumpkins...

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. My daddy helped me make a scary-faced pumpkin and I dressed in my witch costume with a big pointy hat.

An Apple A Day...

I forgot to tell you that mummy worked in the Autumn picking apples - a bit like being a migrant worker. She picked loads and loads.

Up,Up and Away...

I went to Paulton's Park amusement park a few weeks ago and had a really nice time with mummy, daddy and nanna and Mike. I went on lots of rides including a scary roller coaster. Here is a couple of pictures of mummy and me on a balloon ride.

French Summer!

I went to France for my holiday again this year. As usual, it was so beautiful with lipstick sunsets, golden sands, powder-blue skies, the countryside combed with vineyards and adorned with chateaus and wild flowers. The gently roaring ocean, the towering pines the warm sun-kissed breeze, the even warmer friendships. It was me and my mummy and daddy, auntie Linda from Sweden and my buddy Steve from Florida. Below is a photo of Steve, Tony LaLande, mummy, Annais, baby Nina and me. Daddy took the photo and I don't know where Linda was when we all went out for dinner one evening. She was probably on Facebook!

Princess At The Palace!

My daddy's friend Ragnar and his family came to England and we went to see them in London. It was fun going by train to Waterloo Station and then going to see some of the famous London landmarks together. Best thing was going to Buckingham Palace where the Queen lives. It looked like the sort of place fit for a princess - a princess like me.

Snow White!

I got so many cards and presents for my birthday and I would just like to thank everyone for being so kind to me. My friend Angie gave me a Snow-White dress. I don't think I took it off for at least a week - and what's more, when you turn it inside out it becomes a Cinderella dress. Angie is a very nice lady and she always plays with me when I visit her at my Grandad Mike's office. There aren't any dwarfs there - only Nanna!

Give Me Wings!

Of course the biggest event of the summer was my birthday on July 21st. I became three-years-old and immediately turned into a fairy!

All The Fun Of The Fete!

Back in May I went to the village fete. I rode a pony, went on a really high bouncy slide with mummy, had a lot of rides on a carousel, and I even won a football after shooting the ball into a goal.

I'm Back!

Wow! Summer just seemed to fly by this year - and I was just so, so busy that I didn't have time to sit down and update my blog. Sorry about that - but I was usually outside all day long doing all kinds of interesting things and to be honest I was just too tired in the evenings to sit down and write about it all.
Anyway, I'll try and post a few highlights of the summer over the next few days - so check back regularly and you might see something new. Here's a photo from early summer.

Beautiful Beaulieu...

Last Sunday we went to the UK's newest National Park, Beaulieu, in the heart of the New Forest. Beaulieu is also Britain's most visited stately home and hosts The National Motor Museum, Palace House - home of the Montagu family, the ancient ruins of Beaulieu Abbey, The World of Top Gear and a James Bond Exhibition. It also has wonderful grounds and flower gardens to walk amidst - and with the warm and sunny spring everything was awash with colour. I especially enjoyed the monorail ride and the Ice Cream Cottage but the old cars in the museum, while very interesting for dad, weren't really my thing so I found my own car to drive at the children's play area. Afterwards we drove into the New Forest where the ponies and cows roam free.

Pony Riding...

I went to Adventureland at Bournemouth last Sunday with my Nanny and Mike and Mummy and Daddy. The weather was beautiful and warm - 18 degrees! It felt like summer. The park has lots of rides to go on such as runaway trains, flying elephants, caterpillars, twirling cups and saucers, a petting zoo, and donkey and pony rides. I have always wanted to ride a pony and on Sunday I had two rides - on two different ponies. We had a wonderful day out together and I can't wait to go back again.

Pretty In Pink...

Looking good on the dancefloor. Went to next-door neighbour Jenny's combined Birthday and Retirement Party last weekend. I wore my beautiful new pink party dress and dancing shoes that Nanny and Mike bought for me. It was hard work being the only Cinderella at the Ball and when dinner was served I sat down and had my food and drink all by myself on the floor.

Let's Go Fly a Kite...

...Up to the highest height. On a beautiful blue-sky day, a gentle breeze and with warm sunshine on the face, me, mummy and daddy went to the park to fly my new Princess kite. A simple thing to do but a lot of fun to see the kite swooping and diving before soaring back up again into the blue. This is something I am looking forward to doing on a windy day.

Chocolateface...

A girl can't go too long without chocolate cake! So mummy and me decided to make some brownies - and of course one has to continually sample the mixture before you bake it.

The Princess...

Icely Does It!

I went ice-skating today with mummy and daddy at Planet Ice in Basingstoke. I can't say my first time would win any style points but it was something I wanted to do ever since I saw Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck skating in one of their Disney cartoon adventures. It was fun even though it was a bit cold in there. Mummy was pretty good, daddy was a bit like a new born giraffe. I think I need to do a bit more practicing especially if I want to be as good as my friend Sanna in northern Sweden who has her own skates and she is only a little bit older than me.
Dad said I shouldn't worry about that because those northern Swedish people have skating in their genes - but mine just got wet everytime I fell on my bottom.

Play-Doh!

I've been doing a lot of modeling recently with my Play-Doh! I make lots of cakes and animals and press it into all kinds of brightly coloured shapes. It keeps me and whoever I can rope into playing with me occupied for hours.
Here is me and mummy and nanny enjoying some quality but rather intense modeling time together.

Yo Tryggvi! Good Luck!

My friend Tryggvi moved with his family from Reykjavik to Dalvik, a little fishing and skiing village in the north of Iceland recently, and I just wanted to say good luck and stay in touch. Hopefully, I might get to visit them later this year although I really wish they would come to France with me and play in the warm sunshine on the beach.

It's A Boy!

I just wanted to say a quick hello and congratulations to my friend Sanna and her mummy and daddy in north Sweden. They had a new addition to their family on February 1st. A little boy born on the same day as his sister! I hope I can go and visit them this year.
Happy Birthday Sanna!
How many kids get a brother for a birthday present?

Jul!

As usual we went to Sweden for Christmas staying at Amma and Afi's place. My aunt Linda and my uncle Steinni and aunt Lisa were there along with my cousins Amanda, Emma and Jakob. And I can't forget Depill the dog and his brother, Bamse.
We were lucky to get away because the day after we left it was chaos at Heathrow and other UK airports with thousands of passengers stranded as flight after flight was cancelled due to the heavy snowfalls and adverse weather conditions. As it was, we were delayed four hours because the plane coming from Gothenberg was late taking-off because of the snow in Sweden that morning. But we eventually got underway and after the two-hour flight we landed at Landvetter Airport where Amma was waiting to meet us. With all the snow it was definitely beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
Of course I couldn't wait to get out and about and go on sled rides and build a snowman but as usual I got a bad cold and had to stay in for a few days. But that was ok because I had lots to do to get ready for "Jul" as they call it in Sweden, including decorating the tree and making a gingerbread house.
It was lovely to meet my cousins and my aunts and uncles. I got so many nice presents but the best thing was just to spend time with Amma and Afi, Depill and my auntie Linda. My auntie Linda is really, really nice, she watched my Timmy Time and Disney movies with me. I really hope she can come on holiday with me this summer.

It was great fun to go outside and ride on my sled through the deep snow - and to build a snowman. It was very, very cold though. I don't think it ever got above -10 for the entire three weeks we were there - but you just dress warm and it is no problem. Depill loved going for walks - although he had to jump so much because he only has little legs.
